What if you can live like Jesus by embodying His principles in the modern world?

Most people feel it is an unattainable ideal lifestyle because we must make numerous sacrifices, which seems impossible in our modern life.

However, living like Jesus does not mean that we should emulate His habits or try to replace the lifestyle He lived.

It is about internalizing His teachings and letting yourself be guided by them to guide your whole life and actions.

Jesus' message is not merely renouncing everything in your life to follow His examples, but His message is a call to love, which means love everyone, whether someone is your friend, family, or enemy.

Living like Jesus is a commitment that means being dedicated to a life that is characterized by kindness, generosity, and service to others.

Your conscious choices matter to uplift those around you, especially nurturing the relationship and standing against injustice in a small or impactful way.

Living like Jesus is involved in the transformative process, and it can be started by embracing the thought of always doing good and treating others with respect and dignity.

It seems easy, but why do you fail to live?

That's what you should need to understand.

If we state Christianity is about following Jesus Christ's teachings, committing to Him fully is essential.

In my experience, one of the significant barriers is that faith grows but fails to act out.

Many of us attend church on Sunday meaningfully but fail to embody the teachings of Jesus in our lives.

Some may help others, but often with the expectation of something in return.

To bridge the gap of living out genuine faith, I want to share 15 easy tips that can inspire you to start today.

FIRST, feed your soul by immersing yourself in His Holy Word regularly and allow God's voice in the Bible to speak to you to understand His guidance.

SECOND, believe that your efforts are reasonable enough, no matter how small or big, because God only asks for your purity in mind and sincerity of intentions and actions.

That's it.

live like Jesus

What does it mean to live like Jesus?

This phrase has become a popular Christmas carol, but it's so much more than just words to sing.

I could say the true meaning is to love everyone and treat them with dignity and respect, regardless of who they are or what they believe.

If you want to live a good life, then you should act in a manner that reflects the goodness and grace of God.

You shouldn't judge people but instead, show them, unconditional love.

It is the best way to show that you are a follower of Christ.

If you look at the enormous number of things that Jesus did during his life here on earth, you can understand the meaning of how you can follow in his footsteps.

The Bible records many of those things on its pages.

In essence, though, Jesus lived like this:

  • He loved people and cared for them.
  • He forgave people who had hurt him or done bad things to him.
  • He encouraged people to live better lives.
  • He didn't judge people harshly for the mistakes they made.
  • He was willing to sacrifice himself so others could have a better life.

Living like Jesus can be challenging because nobody is perfect, but you should always try to make this world better for everyone.

It means loving others, being good to them, and forgiving them when they don't deserve it.

We may say you should do what you can to help others and not worry about yourself.

You have to try not to judge others or be harsh and unkind and try not to complain or gossip about someone else's mistakes.

Instead, you try to be as lovely as possible and live every day in a way that would make Jesus proud of you.

In short, if you want to live like Jesus, then you should love others, forgive them and encourage them to do the same, not be judgmental, and make sure you know that God loves you even when you don't always do what he wants you to do.

Why do you need to live like Jesus every day?

You need to live like Jesus every day because we are Christian, and we need to follow Jesus' footsteps, who is our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer, to enter the Kingdom of God.

Also, as Christians, we should have the same lifestyle as Jesus.

But you may think it is not easy in this modern world.

Wait, let me explain this.

If I could define Christianity, it could mean "Christ-following."

If a Christian doesn't follow Christ, where is the possibility to save?

You need to follow in Jesus' footsteps in your daily life.

Once, St. Paul said, "Model me as I model Christ."

It shows that Christians need to model Jesus in their daily life.

Trying to live like Jesus will not only change your life but will also influence others to become followers of Christ.

When you live like Jesus, you will be a blessing to others.

Following the example of Jesus is not an option or a suggestion; it is a commandment that all Christians need to fulfill.

John 14:15 says,

"You cannot be a follower of Christ without trying to live like him each day. For us to become more like Christ, we must abide in him."

Abiding in him means staying connected with him through his word and prayer.

You can't just say that you are Christian; you must prove that you are by living according to his teachings (John 15:4-5).

As Christians, living like Christ is our duty, privilege, and joy.

I believe that living like Jesus every day is not hard, as long as you try it with your heart.

It's never a must to go far from here to practice Christianity.

All you need to do is practice it in your home, in your workplace, and in the community where you belong.

Practicing Christianity will help you become happier, more forgiving, and understand other people.

Matthew 5:39

It is one of the most powerful verses in the Bible because it's challenging to live.

But if you can learn to live this, you can be free.

It's a decision you can make today to practice.

In short, you should live like Him because of you, and I leave every investment that made us live a better life in this world; however, the investment for eternal life leads us to be with Christ forever.

So, try to live like Christ every day.

What does it mean to live a committed Christian life?

When you look up the word "commitment" in the dictionary, it says "firm attachment or dedication to something."

That definition fits our purpose of living a dedicated Christian life.

You must be firm in your commitment to God and dedicate yourselves to Him.

Titus 2:11-12 says,

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age."

This verse shows us how we can live a committed Christian life.

It's all about saying no to your worldly desires! Try to say no to sin to live a holy lifestyle.

A dedicated Christian life consists of giving up everything for God.

It's like Jesus said in Luke 9:23-24,

"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lost it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it."

If you genuinely want salvation for your soul and want to live a committed Christian life, you need to give up everything to God.

It does not mean your family, work, or other vital things but changing your attitude towards them.

You need to dedicate your life to Him and follow His plans, whether you succeed or fail.

Living a committed Christian life is not an easy thing to do in this modern world.

It's one of the most challenging things you'll ever have to accomplish. In any case, it's well worth your life.

When I think about living a committed Christian life, I think about doing what is best for God, just as I hope people do what's best for me if I ask for their help.

It could mean making sacrifices, such as giving up watching movies or going to parties so that you have time to study your Bible.

Or it might mean giving up some other activity that isn't very important to help out at a homeless shelter or another charitable organization that needs your help.

How could You start actually living like Jesus?

Jesus emphasizes to love God with everything we have.

In the same way, He commanded us to love others as ourselves.

He is our most excellent example of loving God and loving others.

If you want to start living like Jesus, you can.

It only decides in your heart to love God so much that He is always in your thoughts and emotions. It should show through your actions of helping others, especially needy ones.

Treating others well is the best way to show God's love to them.

Loving and respecting others is part of how God created us, but it's also an essential part of following Jesus' example.

If you genuinely want to follow Jesus' example, treat everyone with kindness and respect, even people who have treated you poorly in the past.

Take care of the poor and homeless by serving them food or whatever you can.

Love your enemies and avoid conflict with them. Jesus spent his life serving others and doing good deeds for others.

The apostle Paul wrote 2 Corinthians 8:9,

"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that through he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich."

In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus tells about the judgment day before God, where people will judge according to how they treat the hungry, thirsty, strangers, naked, and sick.

If you're going to live like Jesus, you have to learn how to forgive.

Forgiveness isn't about forgetting what someone has done or pretending that it wasn't wrong; it means realizing that the person who hurt you is struggling with sin just like you are and praying for him to change as well.

Another thing is you could all quickly become preoccupied with all the things you have to do in your daily lives.

You could get so caught up in what you are doing that you forget the One who is there with you and who gave your very lives.

Titus 2:11-12 says,

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age."

As followers of Christ, we are obligated to live our lives following the teachings of Jesus.

He said in Matthew 5:16,

"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

When you look at people today, do you see a need for Jesus?

Are you helping meet the needs of the people around you? If not, then maybe you should start living like Jesus today.

It's the easiest method to get going.

How can you make sure that you're living like Jesus?

Outwardly, it may appear that you are living a Christian lifestyle.

It may even appear to other people that you are living like Jesus.

But how can you know that what you are doing reflects how we truly feel?

What if your actions and words don't line up?

Christians often talk about things they believe in, but do their actions reflect the words they speak?

When we read the Bible, it informs us that God is full of compassion and love. (1 John 4:8).

Out of his love for us, God sent his only-begotten son to die for us.

As followers of Christ, we are called to strive to be more like him and as God.

How can you make sure that you're living like Jesus?

Jesus lived his life not just professing the things he believed but showing the world through his actions that he genuinely did believe in those things.

Jesus was a man of action. He didn't just talk about loving everyone, and he did it!

And he did everything he could to make sure that people knew about his actions.

You can do the same thing when you're living like Jesus.

Telling everyone how much you love them is great, but you need to make sure your actions match those words.

Do nice things for people who need help, and make sure that they know that you're doing it because you love them.

Make sure that people around you know that God is important to you by showing them through your actions.

It includes your friends and family.

You can make it possible by spending time with them, listening to them, and making sure they know your feelings for them aren't just words.

Jesus lived out his faith every day in everything he did because he knew that there is no point in living a life of faith if no one sees it or knows about it.

If you want to live like Jesus, don't just tell everyone how much you love them or how much God is in your life; instead, you show through your actions.

Living like Jesus isn't about a checklist of arbitrary rules but following his example.

While the Bible doesn't give us a list of rules to follow, it does provide us with a strong example of how we should live.

Making sure that your actions match your words is the best way to know that you live like Jesus.

If you treat someone with contempt or are quick to judge, then you're not following Christ's example of unconditional love.

There are a few things that you can do to make sure that you're living like Jesus:

  1. Live with a servant's heart.
  2. Be compassionate and kind.
  3. Be generous with your time and money.
  4. Seek forgiveness for your sins.
  5. Don't be easily offended.

As you strive to live like Jesus, keep these things in mind:

Talk is cheap.

People can say all kinds of nice things, but those words don't mean much if their actions don't back them up.

To know what you're made of, people have to look at your life, not just listen to your words.

If you're always saying kind things but never doing anything kind, you've got a problem.

Jesus' life showed that talk isn't enough; we need to be doers.

Your life should reflect the love of Christ in ways that show.

Let's try to understand how your life is.
